What does it mean to be a new generation living for Jesus?
REVIVE has sought to help young people explore and own their faith – especially within the complex and fast moving world we live in. We have celebrated that with a growing culture of youth owning various aspects of running youth and sharing their faith.
This year, being proud of all we are because of Jesus, we want to bring others to experience what we have experienced.
To capture this we want to:
READ. Read God’s word. Be a good listener. This term we’re reading through the “sermon on the mount” (Jesus’ famous ethical teaching in Matthew 5-7). Each week we have a little chunk to digest.
PRAY. Pray that God would show you something about Himself and yourself in that chunk you’ve read. And “write it on your heart” that week.
LIVE. When Jesus (and Moses in Deuteronomy) said listen – he means “do”. To be a good listener means to apply what you’ve heard. Be radical in listening/doing as you follow Jesus. And live out the fullness of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus.
INVITE. Our hope is that many others will enjoy all that we’re enjoying + see Jesus in unexpected and meaningful new ways. Have a look at what’s happening this term (here).. find something to invite someone too.
